Is it worth going in the winter?
The views are magnificent 24/7 - 365 so if it is views you are looking for to take your breath away... no worries there. The setting creates an unforgettable atmosphere. However, beware! The culinary experience will take your palate into another dimension served by highly trained staff.
Is it busy during opening hours on weekdays? Do I need to make a reservation for breakfast?
They serve breakfast Monday - Friday. Open 8:30 - 11:30 for breakfast.
How much per person?
Currently for dinner it is $130/person, lunch is $47/person, and brunch $60/person. Taxes, beverages, and gratuity not included.
What is the dress code
I called them before I visited and went with smart shoes, chinos, shirt and tie and a jacket. At that point I was under dressed compared to a lot of men but just went with what I had while visiting NY.
Is it still possible to arrive by launch from the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge?
Yes , and is a beautiful lunch & view!!!

I think no.
After I ate there I decided to take pics cause the view of the bridge was awesome and management had me kicked out .... so they suck
The staff took multiple pictures of us including the pic I posted so I'm not sure what triggered them to ask you to leave but the restaurant promotes taking pics in their restaurant.

Two ladies n I went for a wonderful lunch ! It was beautiful to see the views no matter were you sit! People were friendly n very helpful! And the Brooklyn bridge desert was , wow!

Photo is of their signature dessert, the Chocolate Brooklyn Bridge! Delicious!Came at the end of a delicious vegetarian fixed price meal. Expensive for the vegetarian meal however. Beautiful location, we were relocated to a table overlooking the bridge. Service was absolutely amazing, a must go to restaurant!!

Romantic restaurant, setting is really nice and they are doing a good job with the covid outdoor dining restrictions. However, for a Michelin starred restaurant the service was only ok. We waited quite a while after being seated to receive menus or water and then waited even longer still for drinks. At less than 50% capacity this doesn’t make sense. The food was plated nicely but taste and quality were 6/10. The prix fixe they are currently offering has a wide selection and is priced reasonably. Would return for the view and atmosphere with out of town guests but wouldn’t consider this a great food experience. The only other gripe was that we expected the dress code to be more strictly enforced based on other reviews, but found tables nearby dressed in T-shirts and shorts.

The River Cafe is a must for a family outing or a romantic night out. The views are breathtaking get reservations & seating facing the Manhattan waterfront & skyline; to the East will provide views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The food is great along with an unmatched ambiance, service, and unmatched views. This place is in the top ten of places to go in Brooklyn, NYC. “ Upper class “ dining on steroids!

My family and I absolutely loved this place! The location, ambiance, views, food, wine, service and professionalism were magnificent! We will definitely return to celebrate another special occasion. Thank you so much for setting a great standard of service.

Located in iconic and picturesque Dumbo, Brooklyn, The River Cafe has all of the makings of a truly upper class dining experience. They require reservations months in advance and formal dining attire. The staff were all pleasant and the service is top notch. Food was on par with most up scale restaurants. Though the overall ambience, service, and presentation was impressive, it's still very difficult to justify the $$$$$ price tag
